Brett, the principal director, started Armfield Wallace & Munro in 2003 after previous experience as an accountant in a middle tier accounting firm in Adelaide. He has extensive experience in providing strategic taxation, business and accounting advisory services, as well as in specialised areas such as self-managed super funds and financial & succession planning.
Brett prides himself on nurturing client relationships and works closely with his clients to gain a full appreciation and understanding of their business. This, in turn is used to improve not only business performance but to plan for a profitable and sustainable future.
Brett works with a range of clients, from primary production and retail clients to not-for profit organisations and local councils. With numerous qualifications and experience as a registered superannuation auditor, certified practicing accountant, tax agent and in financial planning, Brett has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of complex legislation and specified accounting and financial issue's. Malcolm grew up on his parent's sheep grazing property at Bringalbert, north of Apsley, Victoria. After completing his schooling and university studies, in 1981 he joined Wallace & Co, the legal practice established by his great grandfather in 1885. Here he worked in the firm's tax practice which had a large client base.
After working in the Wallace and Co office building at 20 Ormerod Street for seven years Malcolm and his colleague Michael Munro moved into the "SGIC Building" next door at 85 Smith Street in 1988 where the administration of the tax practice was concentrated.
In 2003 they were joined by Brett Armfield to establish the firm of Armfield, Wallace & Munro, and also purchased their office building.
With 18 years experience in the accounting industry and the last 9 with Armfield, Wallace & Munro, Amy is an integral member of the senior accounting team. Amy has broad experience in servicing both audit and taxation clients operating in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, as well as local sporting clubs and associations. Her role also involves BAS preparation and lodgement for a range of business clients, as well as providing sound technical advice on multitude of products and holds accreditations in the cloud accounting program – Xero.
Amy's extensive knowledge and expertise are particularly appropriate for business and individual clients seeking professional and technical advice in the areas of financial accounting, as well as GST and taxation compliance.

Abby joined Armfield Wallace & Munro in 2010, bringing with her valuable experience as an internal accountant for a successful winery in the South East of South Australia. With 12 years experience in the accounting industry, and as an integral member of the senior accounting team, Abby is well versed to provide clients with a range of specialised advisory and compliance services. These include, but are not limited to, financial & taxation advice for all business entity types, FBT, PAYG & GST obligations, business structuring, asset protection and tax minimisation, as well as BAS and taxation compliance and lodgement.
Of particular importance to Armfield Wallace & Munro, are Abby's specialist skills in the complex and dynamic area of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSF) as well as SMSF Auditing.
Abby is an integral member of AWM's consulting services which includes long-term financial modelling and project evaluations, organisational reviews, business valuations and economy and efficiency reviews.

Ali joined Armfield Wallace & Munro in 2011 after moving from an internal accountants role for an Australian company based in Adelaide. She has 9 years accounting experience, and her role as a senior accountant at AWM involves liaising with a wide range of clients to provide transaction, advisory and financial reporting compliance advice for individual, partnership, trust and company financials & tax, as well as BAS preparation and lodgement. With well-rounded communication skills and an approachable demeanour, Ali has a solid understanding of and keen interest in the complex area of succession planning.
Ali is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and is an integral member of AWM's consulting services which include long-term financial modelling and project evaluations, organisational reviews, business valuations and economy and efficiency reviews.

Liam joined Armfield Wallace and Munro in 2015 with a wealth of accounting experience gained in both London and Adelaide. After completing a Bachelor of Finance/Bachelor of Mathematics & Computer Science (B.Fin/B.M&CS) at the University of Adelaide, Liam spent three years in London with a listed investment firm, and a further four years in Adelaide facilitating client investments, foreign exchange, and interest rate risk management. More recently, Liam honed his skills as an internal accountant at a South Australian university, being involved in the preparation of annual reports, budgets, forecasts, as well as managing the University's cash flow and investment portfolio.
Liam has recently completed the CPA program, and is responsible for a range of client requirements such as income tax, BAS and financial statement preparation, and year-end compliance and taxation obligations.
Liam has returned to the South East having originally grown up in Bordertown, before moving to Adelaide to complete university studies. With strong family ties from Mundulla through to the Coonawarra area, the opportunity to join AWM has come at an ideal time with two young children who love to spend time with their grandparents.

Melanie joined the team at Armfield, Wallace & Munro in early 2015. Melanie completed her Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting through Deakin University in 2016. With a focus on building and nurturing client relationships, Melanie's role involves income tax, BAS and financial statement preparation for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
Prior to making the move into the Accounting field, Melanie co-owned and operated a cafe in Naracoorte for five years, which has given her a thorough understanding of all aspects of small business management.
Melanie has recently commenced the Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) program.

Georgia joined Armfield, Wallace & Munro in early 2015. Georgia comes from a legal background having completed her Bachelor of Laws (Graduate) degree and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2014. Having previous experience in law firms, Georgia is currently working alongside Brett as they expand the firm's current services to include financial planning. To compliment this, Georgia has completed her Diploma in Financial Planning and Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. She hopes to incorporate this with the knowledge she has gained from her legal background into the ever expanding planning field.
Georgia grew up on a farming property in Western Victoria and has returned to the district after time away at school and university to call Naracoorte home for the past 9 years. She looks forward to increasing the financial planning services that Armfield, Wallace & Munro has to offer.
