Brett Armfield


Brett, the principal director, started Armfield Wallace & Munro in 2003 after previous experience as an accountant in a middle tier accounting firm in Adelaide.  He has extensive experience in providing strategic taxation, business and accounting advisory services, as well as in specialised areas such as self-managed super funds and financial & succession planning.


Brett prides himself on nurturing client relationships and works closely with his clients to gain a full appreciation and understanding of their business.  This, in turn is used to improve not only business performance but to plan for a profitable and sustainable future.

Brett works with a range of clients, from primary production and retail clients to not-for profit organisations and local councils. With numerous qualifications and experience as a registered superannuation auditor, certified practicing accountant, tax agent and in financial planning, Brett has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of complex legislation and specified accounting and financial issue's. His areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:

Amy Bates



With almost 20 years experience in the accounting industry and the last 12 with Armfield, Wallace & Munro, Amy is an integral member of the senior accounting team. Amy has broad experience in many aspects of accounting. Her role includes but is not limited to financial accounting, taxation, BAS preparation and lodgement for a range of farming and business clients, as well as providing sound technical advice on a variety of computer platforms. With such experience in the industry, Amy plays an important role in assisting with the training and development of our clients and staff.

Amy's extensive knowledge and expertise are particularly appropriate for farming, business and individual clients seeking professional and technical advice in the areas of financial accounting, GST and taxation compliance, as well as record keeping and computer programs.

Amy holds the following qualifications
 
• Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Australia (B.Com) 
• Xero Advisor Certified
• Xero Payroll Certified



Abby Miller



Abby joined Armfield Wallace & Munro in 2010, bringing with her valuable experience as an internal accountant for a successful winery in the South East of South Australia. With 14 years experience in the accounting industry, and as an integral member of the senior accounting team, Abby prides herself on delivering personal service to her clients and helping them to achieve their business and financial goals.  Abby is well versed to provide clients with a range of specialised advisory and compliance services. These include, but are not limited to, financial & taxation advice for all business entity types, FBT, PAYG & GST obligations, business planning and structuring, asset protection and tax minimisation, as well as BAS and taxation compliance and lodgement.

Of particular importance to Armfield Wallace & Munro, are Abby's specialist skills in the complex and dynamic area of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSF) as well as SMSF Auditing.

Abby is an integral member of AWM's consulting services which includes long-term financial modelling and project evaluations, organisational reviews, business valuations and economy and efficiency reviews. 

Abby has a rural background having come from a family farm in Kaniva and now operates a cattle farm with her husband in Naracoorte.

Liam Walter

Liam joined Armfield Wallace and Munro in 2015 with a wealth of accounting experience gained in both London and Adelaide.  After completing a Bachelor of Finance/Bachelor of Mathematics & Computer Science (B.Fin/B.M&CS) at the University of Adelaide, Liam spent three years in London with a listed investment firm, and a further four years in Adelaide facilitating client investments, foreign exchange, and interest rate risk management. More recently, Liam honed his skills as an internal accountant at a South Australian university, being involved in the preparation of annual reports, budgets, forecasts, as well as managing the University's cash flow and investment portfolio. 

Liam has recently completed the CPA program, and is responsible for a range of client requirements such as income tax, BAS and financial statement preparation, and year-end compliance and taxation obligations.

Liam has returned to the South East having originally grown up in Bordertown, before moving to Adelaide to complete university studies. With strong family ties from Mundulla through to the Coonawarra area, the opportunity to join AWM has come at an ideal time with two young children who love to spend time with their grandparents.

Kim Todarello

Kim joined the team at Armfield Wallace & Munro in mid-2018, bringing with her a background in Administration and Bookkeeping.  

Kim's role in the office is to ensure the smooth running of the business by providing support to clients and other colleagues. Kim is involved in all aspects of office administration.   Kim also manages our accounts payable and receivables, ASIC requirements, along with the company's Audit Shield Insurance program.

Kim is your first point of contact if you call or visit the office, so her friendly manner is well suited in welcoming clients.
